I was in Austin for a concert over the weekend & decided to go do my 2.5 hr long run at the Greenbelt, I even wore my backpack for the first time. A reminder that I need to get out of my comfort zone: running on flat trails and pavement makes it easy to mindlessly put one foot in front of the other, that didn’t work this time.
One of my buddies and I snaked through the trails & the creek bed, staying engaged throughout the whole run because I really needed to think about where I was stepping next— I’ll need to get used to that in preparation for the desert, so I’m pretty sure I’ll be back for another long run soon.
