Tis the season to give and here are two events where YOU can help out and warm someone’s heart.

Macy’s Mistletoe on the Go

Pucker-up, Texas’ biggest mistletoe ball is coming to downtown this holiday seasonas the newest addition to the Downtown District’s annual Downtown Holiday Spectacular. Macy’s Mistletoe on the Go! will be located at five festive downtowndestinations for a tour of holiday cheer. The 150-inch ball of kiss-inducing greenery hanging from a 15-foot giant candy cane will travel to City Hall, Market Square Park, Hobby Center, Wortham Center and Discovery Green, spending one week at each downtown destination.

Macy’s Mistletoe on the Go! will be at Hermann Square through Dec. 2 before moving to the historic Market Square Park, then on to The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts from Dec. 10-16. Then it’s on the move again, stopping for a week at Fish Plaza in front of Wortham Theater Center from Dec. 17-23, and finally ending up at Discovery Green for a final week from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1. The whole traveling mistletoe is brought to you by Macy’s and the Downtown District. For more information CLICK HERE

Passersby are invited to stand under the massive ball and kiss—for a cause.  For every lip lock shared at Facebook.com/VisitDowntownHouston, Macy’s will generously donate $1 (up to $5,000) to Make-A-Wish-Foundation, a non-profit that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. http://downtownhouston.org/calendar/macys-mistletoe-go/

with DEFINE Instructor CoCO

Houston Children’s Charity is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Greater Houston’s underprivileged, abused and disabled children who have been otherwise left behind. The scope of our support is limited only by the availability of resources. Our goal is to leave no legitimate request for assistance unanswered. Over the past 15 years, through an array of capital and operating support, HCC has provided $10.5 million to program services for over 100 agencies and more than 17,000 individual families. In addition, the Becker Emergency Fund has provided over $60,000 to assist families in an emergency crisis situation. houstonchildrenscharity.org
